GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Polyester, the combination of polyester resin with glass fibres. The resin gives a vessel its chemical resistance, the glass fibres the strength. Resins are ortho-polyester, iso-polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy-novolac in ascending order of resilience. Polem manufactures by way of the spray winding process. Resin and glass fibres are sprayed onto a steel mould. The moulds have diameters increasing in ca. 500 mm increments up to a maximum of Ø 5.000 mm, for a maximal content of 500 m3. |
| Auxiliaries |

Polem manufactures auxiliaries for silos and tanks itself: fill- and deairation pipes, cage ladders, roof railings and platforms, outlet bins, reducers and silo supports; also drive through structures for loading of trucks. Standard materials used are hot dip galvanised steel or stainless steel 304/316. Thanks to our own production we can deliver custom work fast and at competitive prices. |

Do you need equipment with your silo or tank? Polem can deliver a complete package including filters, bin vibrators, mixers, weighing and so forth from leading suppliers. Equipment meets the set demands on e.g. residual dust in filtered air, food contact and ATEX pressure burst resistance and zoning. Fluidisation with air pads or fluidised bottoms is made and mounted completely by Polem itself. |
